BARRE FITNESS is a unique conditioning program targeting the whole body which utilizes light weights, positions, postures and techniques traditionally used at the ballet barre. BROADWAY DANCE: Based on basic Broadway choreography from timeless shows such as Chicago!, West Side Story, Rent, A Chorus Line and many more, this class will open you up to the world of dancing through musicals. You will have fun while learning basic dance techniques as you debut your Broadway dance steps! Hope to see lovers of dance attending this class!
CARDIO DANCE: This class is all cardio, mostly low impact and so entertaining you can forget you are exercising. Dance and music styles including pop, funk, broadway, and latin, just to name a few, will keep you moving and sweating while learning some new and remembering some old favorite dance steps.
CARDIO FUSION: This dynamic cardio workout will get you moving and sweating with mixed impact choreography that is fun and easy to follow. Dance inspired routines will be added for a touch of style and fun.
CARDIO KICKBOX: This dynamic cardio class with moves from the martial arts and boxing will be the perfect addition to your workout routine. Easy to follow moves done with power and purpose to music for a kicktastic time!
CARDIO PARTY: is a fun filled, dance inspired cardio workout that will raise your heart rate and your mood. Easy to follow moves performed to popular music makes this class excellent for every level of exerciser.
CARDIO STEP: Get your body moving with this all cardio workout utilizing the step to increase intensity as you move through fun and challenging step choreography. This class is a great for calorie burning and sweat! 45 minutes.
CARDIO, STRENGHT, INTERVAL (C. S. I.): is a dynamic class that combines high energy, cardio drills and functional strength training. This class can be easily adapted and is therefore excellent for every fitness level.
CIRCUIT CONDITIONING: This challenging class provides a great workout as you move through a series of stations designed to elevate your heart rate and challenge your muscles. Stations may include jump ropes, weights, bars, stability balls, bikes, etc. Class may be modified for all levels of fitness.
CIRCUIT TRAINING: Step up to the challenge of improving your strength, agility, balance etc as you work your way through this challenging circuit of exercises timed in specific intervals. Classes held in the circuit machine room.
DANCE N' SUCH: Enjoy a variety of music and dance from around the world! This workout will challenge the strength, balance and cardio vascular abilities in the body. This class offers the full spectrum of dance with fitness.
MEDITATION: The timeless practice and philosophy of meditation is explored. Various meditations on the development of loving-kindness and wisdom are emphasized. There will be periods of guided sitting meditation, walking meditation, and deep relaxation. Class members are given tools and the encouragement to develop or strengthen their own individual daily meditation practice. Meditation class is followed by a wonderful yoga class which gives members an enriching two hours of mind/body practice.
PILATES I, II & III: The Pilates Mat classes focus on core strength. The principles of: concentration, centering, alignment, precision and breath. Pilates offers a full body workout and a form of stress relief.
QI GONG: Qigong is a mind-body practice that improves one's mental and physical health by integrating postures, movement, breathing techniques, and focused intention/meditation.
SPIN: Indoor-cycling program using high performance and fully adjustable stationary racing bicycle. The fundamental techniques and positions presented have been carefully selected to ensure a safe, fun and effective workout for every student, regardless of fitness level. This non-impact high-energy adventure will take you through hill climbs, sprints, jumps, pacing and interval training - all on your stationary bike.
SUPER CIRCUIT: Advanced weight training even beginners can handle and high intensity sport conditioning athletes will love.
TOTAL BODY ENERGIZER: A fun workout utilizing weights and bars to work all major muscle groups from head to toe. Appropriate for all levels of fitness.
YOGA I & II: The traditional asana practice in a flow or vinyasa format. Attention is given to the foundation, alignment and quality of breath in each pose. Strength, stamina and flexibility increase with the practice. The practice begins and ends with quiet breathing. Students are encouraged to work at their own pace and many modifications are used to accommodate individual needs.
YOGA BASICS: A focus on the understanding of the body in yoga poses; how the framework of bones supports strong muscles and deep breathing and how the body functions as a whole of its parts. This class introduces foot position, alignment of the spine and shoulders and use of the breath to keep postures safe and effective. Strength and flexibility increase preparation of full asana practice.
YOGA BREATH & DE-STRESS: Leave work week stress and to-do lists behind in this low-key yoga class focused more on deep breathing, de-stressing and increasing flexibility. The objective is to become aware of where you're holding tension and release the tight spots and toxins to promote better health and transition to the weekend on an "ahhh.." note.
YOGA FLOW I & II: Traditional practice of yoga postures creating a continuous flow, accompanied by deep breathing. Yoga focuses on internal strength, postural integration and radiant health. All levels welcome.
