LEARN • INDIVIDUALIZE • FINALIZE • TRANSFORM

LEARN
This is the initial training phase designed to build the proper foundation for safe and effective exercise and overall health for all clients. The client is taught the basic principles, concepts, proper mechanics and the fundamentals of proper exercise for health. There is a strong emphasis placed on building the integrity of the connective tissue in preparation for more vigorous and intense workouts. This program is heart rate based. The client will learn the importance of injury prevention, and their personal resting, recovery and maximal heart rate responses during a workout.

INDIVIDUALIZE
Each client’s heart rate and health history is uniquely individual. The individual’s workouts are designed with a focus on improving flexibility, coordination, balance, explosive strength, increased range of motion, increased foot speed and power. Skill development is taught for exercises that recruit large muscle groups in concentric exercises that will naturally increase IGF-1 (the hormone of growth and renewal) and HDL2b (helps to remove cholesterol from the arteries) to improve the body’s ability to heal itself. The personal coach will carefully monitor the individual’s heart rate responses during each workout. The individual’s heart rate responses are reflective of the intensity and duration of the selected exercises, dependent upon the client’s abilities, both mentally and physically.

FINALIZE
The goal for each client in the LIFT Program is to become competent in the application of the exercises selected by the coach. The client is now proficient in understanding what to expect of their heart rate responses during their workouts by monitoring the resting, recovery and maximal heart rates.

TRANSFORM
Transform: to change in composition, structure, or condition. To change the outward form or appearance.
At this phase, the client has reached their level of optimal fitness for health. The client has gained self confidence, physical change is apparent, and the client has the knowledge of proper exercise. The metabolic system is now responding at an optimal level as a result of the client’s application of exercise selection, intensity and duration and monitoring their heart rate during the optimum duration of the entire workout.

FAQ’s

  1. Should I feel any aches or pains in the “Learn” phase of training?
No, in the “Learn” phase of training the client will primarily be doing just that – learning. In this phase, it is the personal coach’s job to incorporate exercise that will build the integrity of the connective tissue throughout the body to reduce injury. This phase also allows the client to understand what is meant by the terms: mind, body, muscle principle and full body tension and grounding / rooting through the body.

  2. Why do I need to use the Polar Heart Rate Monitor?
The Polar heart rate monitor is a key tool in the LIFT program as it provides critical information to the client as well as to the personal coach. The specific heart rate monitor that is used has infrared download capability. This allows for each client to have their own personal training file with each workout heart rate response stored in the Polar client data program.

  3. What if I want to train for a specific sport?
The personal coach will work with the client looking to train for a bike race, high school or college sports, 10K run etc. The basis of the LIFT program will be integrated into the specific sport training.

  4. Why do I need to work on balance, hand / eye coordination, foot speed, patterning, etc?
The decay of aging expresses itself as a decrease in intellect, memory, metabolic rate, flexibility, strength, foot speed, coordination, muscle, bone and ligament density, integrity, cardiac output, on and on . . .

  5. Can I train with a friend?
Absolutely, observation suggests some of the success for this is the enjoyment of a partner’s support, the empathy of one who shares a goal, and the spirit of positive competitive forces.

  6. What is small group training?
Small group training consists of three (3) to a maximum of four (4) persons working with one (1) personal coach. Participants do not have to all be at the same fitness level. The personal coach will progress the training through the phases as normal. If a client is looking to join an existing small group, it is required that the client has had a minimum of three (3) private one on one training sessions.

LIFT PROGRAM PACKAGES

INTRODUCTION:

Put the LIFT program to the test! Take the step and invest in your knowledge and health and give it a try! What do you have to lose? We challenge you to NOT learn something just in the introduction!

3 – 6 workouts

$80.00 / session

PHASE 1: LEARN

Each individual entering into the LIFT program begins at Phase 1: Learn. This is the set point where all clients begin their program. It is the responsibility of the personal coach to teach the client the fundamental principles, biomechanics and skills of optimal exercise for health in preparation of more challenging exercises in the “Individualize, Finalize and Transform” Phases of the LIFT program. This package cost includes a one time additional fee for the client’s personal Polar Heart Rate Monitor. This monitor is a key tool in gauging each workout and providing information to our state of the art Polar Precision Program that is used to diary each clients personal workouts.

3 weeks 3 workouts per week $810.26
4 weeks 2 workouts per week $740.26

PHASE 2: INDIVIDUALIZE

This phase of the LIFT program is where the client continues to learn, not only about exercises for health, but also about their own unique abilities. Efforts that produce results produce motivation. Motivation changes the mind’s willingness to proceed. The results will continue as long as you are willing to do the work!

4 weeks 3 workouts per week $840.00
4 weeks 2 workouts per week $560.00

PHASE 3: FINALIZE

The skill and technique that the client has learned is applied to each workout to gain positive results. The client has the knowledge of what to expect from their personal heart rate responses as a result of the exercises that they are doing.

3 weeks 3 workouts per week $630.00
4 weeks 3 workouts per week $840.00

PHASE 4: TRANSFORM

Long-term success occurs when the client develops self-reliance rather than prolonged dependence. This is not only true of the client’s success but ours as well. Unless we are successful at producing self-sufficient individuals who are mastering these skills, we never reach our goal of helping people reach their fitness goals.

4 weeks 2 workouts per week $560.00
6 weeks 1-2 workouts per week $420.00 - $840.00
